Significant Women's breakfast

9 May 2014 | General Interest

This morning we welcomed a large number of the significant women of our community to to the College for our Significant Women's breakfast. Our MC, Lucy Morabito guided us through a number of different ways the students sought to celebrate the wonderful women of our College.

We were entertained by the Strings ensemble, the College choir, we heard the reading of a very sophisticated piece of writing by Lauren Pennefather on the Challenges for Women in the 21st century and were also dazzled by some brilliant examples of artworks that were completed as part of our 'Building Peace Today' College theme art competition.

Our guests then took with them a message of appreciation which was designed by one of the Arts Representative leaders under the guidance of Arts Captain Shae Jones. It was a lovely way to celebrate some of our special people and we extend the College's best wishes to all mothers for this coming Sunday.
