Contemporary Melbourne Fibre Artist Louise Saxton visits

On Monday June 23rd the Unit 2 and 4 VCE Studio Arts classes and the Unit 2 Art Class welcomed Contemporary Melbourne Fibre Artist Louise Saxton to discuss her unique art practice and working methods.

Louise’s interest in nature, loss, the home, art and craft cultures, histories and traditions converge in the creation of her artworks using reclaimed needlework. The students were able to see the raw materials, the inspiration and watch a presentation showing the development of her art.

Here Laura and Monique and getting some tips from Louise.
