French Horn Specialist

Our Lady of Sion College seeks a passionate and inspiring French Horn specialist to join our experienced team of educators in 2018.  This 12 month contract position will consist of a combination of individual lessons, a group lesson as part of the Year 7 Program, and has the potential to involve ensemble direction.  The approximate contact hours will be four hours each Wednesday with the aspiration for growth.

The successful applicant will:

  • Imbue a passion and appreciation for music listening, playing and performing
  • Actively support students in setting and achieving goals with independence
  • Value critical thinking and collaboration in learning
  • View enhancing resilience and self-confidence as a priority
  • Provide opportunities to foster students’ sense of self within the community
  • Have proven experience performing at a high standard and in a variety of settings
  • Be an enthusiastic, passionate, inspiring and reflective educator
  • Hold a current VIT Registration or a Working With Children Card
  • Have a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • Be a positive role model in our Catholic Girls’ College
  • Be available to teach on Wednesday mornings
